President-elect Donald Trump may only stay at the White House during the week to handle work and fly back to his New York apartment on the weekend to rest as has been his long-standing habit.

Since winning the presidential election, there have been many rumors surrounding whether Mr. Trump will leave his $100 million penthouse in central New York to move to the White House.

Mr. Trump’s penthouse is located on the 58th floor of Trump Tower in Manhattan, New York.

According to the NY Times, the 70-year-old billionaire is someone who loves to stay at home, often flying through the night for many hours during the election campaign to return to Trump Tower and sleep in his own bed.

The future first lady, Melania Trump, also plans to move to Washington, DC, but their 10-year-old son Barron is still in the middle of the school year in New York and it is unclear when he will move.

When President Obama was elected, it was also questioned whether Michelle would leave her hometown of Chicago to move to the White House in early 2009 and interrupt her two daughters’ education.

Mr. Trump lived 3 decades of luxury in Trump Tower.

Mr. Trump is said to have asked his advisers how many nights a week he has to spend at the White House and wants to maintain his long-standing habit in New York.

According to advisers, it is also possible that the president-elect will spend more time at the White House as he gets more familiar and comfortable with his new job.

The White House has been the residence of America’s leaders since the time of John Adams, the country’s second president.

Trump Tower is located in New York, more than 350 km away.

Security is also a concern.

Security at this tower also needs to be strengthened if Mr. Trump stays in New York, while the White House already has many layers of protection, turning it into a fortified fortress.

The building has an iron fence outside, and armed groups are located at the gate and inside the campus.
