At 10 a.m. today, storm Noul landed in the provinces of Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue with winds of 75-90 km/h, knocking down thousands of trees, leaving one person dead and one person missing.

The storm approached the coast early in the morning, causing heavy rain and thunder in Quang Nam, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, and Quang Tri.

The storm caused damage in Hai Duong commune, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue at 10:30 a.m. on September 18.

At 10:00 a.m., the eye of the storm entered the bordering area of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri provinces, with heavy rain in waves, strong winds blew away advertising signs, and tore off the corrugated iron roofs of people’s houses.

In Hue City, storm winds knocked down hundreds of trees and electric poles.

Thus, storm Noul only raged on the mainland for about an hour, landed about 3 hours earlier than forecast, and its intensity decreased by 2 levels.

Noul formed from a low pressure area in the Philippine Sea, then developed into a tropical depression, entering the East Sea on the morning of September 16, strengthening into the fifth storm this year.
