Winning 4-1 at Granada Stadium on the evening of May 13, Real maintained its hope of winning the La Liga championship with a two-point gap behind leader Atletico.

Having played the role of a spoiler in the La Liga championship race when defeating Barca 2-1 half a month ago, Granada could not recreate the surprise against a young and hungry Real.

And after only 17 minutes, Real made the home team’s net shake.

Modric scored the opening goal for Real.

With a starting lineup of five U23 players, an early goal helped Real shape the style of play.

Despite missing many defensive pillars such as Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Marcelo or Lucas Vazquez, Real did not have many difficulties in stopping the match after the break.

Odriozola (No. 11) scored a header to increase the score to 3-1 for Real.

The pressure only came to Real after Eder Militao’s mistake in the 71st minute. The 23-year-old defender’s indecisive clearance created an opportunity for Granada to counterattack and shorten the score.

However, the away team’s embarrassment lasted only four minutes.
