Hanoi On July 4, nearly 4,000 students from many provinces and cities attended the Foreign Language High School to win one of 380 spots to enter the 10th grade this year.

You must be present at the exam room at 8:00 a.m., but from 6:30 a.m., many candidates are already standing in front of the gate of the Foreign Language High School (University of Foreign Languages, Hanoi National University).

An hour later, it was pouring rain.

Candidates searched for an exam room in the rain on the morning of July 4.

Quickly running to take shelter in the canteen near the exam venue, Nguyen Minh Chau (Hai Ba Trung district) looked worried.

Setting the goal of passing the English class at the High School for Foreign Languages from the beginning of 8th grade, Chau has high expectations for today’s exam day.

Nguyen Thi Tu Tran, a student at Nguyen Truong To Secondary School, took the exam to enter the Russian language class, and her father took her to the exam site at 6:00 a.m.

`Being specialized will open up many opportunities for me, helping me study in a good environment, participate in many good extracurricular activities, thereby perfecting more skills,` Tran said.
